June Writing Goals

So it’s been a few months since I have really practiced good writing habits, and I finally have a bulk of time in my schedule that will allow me to really sink into some projects. I have been thinking about trying to make June a banner month for writing, and had been hoping that it would also be a Camp Nano month so I would have a little extra motivation. Unfortunately, the next Camp Nano isn’t until July, so I’ll have to go this one on my own. So I decided to blog about it, instead!

My writing goal for this upcoming month is going to be the most I’ve ever written in a single month. Many have heard about my exploits and successes in writing 50,000 words in one day on November 1st, 2013, but I’ve still yet to break the 100,000 word mark in a single month (that I’m aware of, I know I’ve come close a few times). I want June 2014 to be that month. In fact, I want to go above and beyond.

My goal for June 2014 is 120,000 words!

There are a few projects I plan to be working on as I make my way toward this goal, and I will be blogging about my successes and failures as the month progresses. I will try to update my daily word counts on My Facebook Page and Twitter, so make sure you follow me on those locations to get more real-time updates between blog posts.

As of now, I’m editing a novella that I wrote a while back and hoping to get it published sometime in the coming weeks. Then I’ll be doing a bit of planning to prepare for the upcoming months. I’ve only got a few days before I have to start pumping out some serious daily word counts (3,000 words / day is nothing to sneeze at).
